Reseeding

Image and video hosting by TinyPic I’m getting my lawns ready for reseeding next week so I began scalping them and then turned off my watering system. The whole point of this is to essentially kill my current grass by getting it to go dormant in preparation for the new grass that I’ll soon be planting. It’s a weird process that usually doesn’t make sense to us logically. Death brings life. It is simple things like this that remind me of Jesus’ words in John 12:24-25:
“Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. Those who love their life will lose it, while those who hate their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.”
